Synthetic Training Environment
S.T.E. is an AR training program developed by Microsoft in coordination with the U.S. Army.
On this project, I spent a large amount of my time developing NPC's that could analyze the environment and engage in combat tactics that were fitting for the current situation. In addition to this, my responsibilities included network replication of this behavor within a client-server architecture, upgrading NPC to utilize root motion enabled animations, and mentoring junior engineers.
Eventually, my responsibilities grew to include being a technical stake holder in customer facing meetings, as well as managing portions of sprint planning and on-site testing at JBLM.
